The studio

What we make

Phoenix Dawn Studios is an independent app studio. We make playful, polished mobile apps with real personality: everyday rituals, reimagined to make you smile. First up is a whole new way to wake up.

  • Characters with charm

We build apps around memorable characters, real voices, and little moments of delight you'll actually look forward to.

  • Private by design

No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Your alarms and settings stay on your device, not on our servers.

  • Small studio, big care

Being independent means every detail gets our full attention, from the first chime to the final polish.

Our anime alarm app

Wake up to a cast of collectible anime characters who greet you with short, voiced, animated wake-up clips. Collect them as trading cards, choose who wakes you on each day of the week, and turn your alarm into the best part of the morning. Playful and a little flirty, never explicit: made for grown-ups who would rather wake up smiling.

  • Collectible characters, each with their own trading card
  • Short voiced, animated wake-up clips
  • A different wake-up character for every day of the week
  • No accounts, no ads, no tracking
  • Coming soon to the App Store
  • Coming soon on Google Play

Characters

Meet the cast

Every character in our anime alarm app is a collectible trading card with a voice, a personality, and their own way of getting you out of bed. Our first star is already on the air.

May Day's card art: an anime woman with a long orange ponytail, violet eyes and a purple scrunchie, smiling in a radio booth with headphones around her neck.

No.001 · First on the air

May Day

Age 23 · Morning radio host

  • Rare
  • Sun · Broadcast

Host of the top-rated (and only) show in your bedroom, May runs your wake-up like a live broadcast: big intro, sunny forecast, zero dead air. She's spunky, quick with a tease, and a little too pleased with her own jokes. Hit snooze if you dare; she'll just keep talking until you're up.

Today's forecast: sunny, with a hundred percent chance of me staring at you until you get up.

May Day, live on air
Hear May wake you up Hide the clip
Transcript Gooood morning! This is May Day, broadcasting live from... the edge of your bed. Rise and shine, sleepyhead! She giggles after "bed" and points at you on "sleepyhead."

A 10-second clip, with sound.
